The Bourne Identity 2002
I honestly found this pretty dull, which surprised me because I usually like spy films. It follows the familiar genre setup, but it never gives me the energy, charm, or distinctive personality that I get from Mission: Impossible or Bond movies. Everything feels more muted, and because of that, the whole experience stays at a distance for me.
The one thing I really responded to was the quieter cat and mouse tension in the more focused confrontations. Those moments feel sharper and more personal, like the film briefly finds the pulse it was missing elsewhere. But overall, I never fully connected with Jason Bourne or his journey, so the story just ends up feeling flatter than it should.
