A Big Bold Beautiful Journey 2025
Surprised that this is such a reflective emotional healing journey. It is about accepting the past and the mistakes made with it, knowing each other deeply, and learning how to move forward without letting old wounds dictate every new relationship.
I'm happy with how deeply the film explores knowing another person: understanding their history, and their regrets. I think it is actually helpful if applied in real life, because knowing someone on a deeper level could mitigate the risk of hurting each other. Because I would know what I am getting into, what the other person carries, and whether loving them is a risk worth taking. And maybe love becomes possible again once every broken part of you and I have already been mended.
I know that you cheat, so no one else can hurt you first.
And that you leave, you know, when you feel like you’re being loved too much.
I know you, Sarah.
But I also know that you love eating fast-food cheeseburgers, and I know that you love traveling alone like I do.
I love the conversations with their past selves and their parents. I think I would actually tear up on the next watch.
Extremely thoughtful film. After the film, I felt a sense of relief, as if I was also healed through their journey.
