Run Ali run! The film has such a cute and sincere presentation of how children try to solve problems on their own. It honestly captures innocence so well, especially in how simple situations become huge emotional challenges through a child’s perspective. At the same time, it is also a bittersweet portrayal of how difficult it is to be a father who has nothing except ambition and hope for a better life for his family. The build up of the story was nice, that is why by the third act, I was already rooting for Ali. The emotional payoff works because the film takes its time making me care about these characters.
