The Old Guard 2 2025

Charlize Theron really disappeared into the role. Quynh’s motivation feels shallow. But who am I to judge? I didn’t live for hundreds of years trapped alone in the darkest depths of the sea. After that kind of suffering, I guess resentment and rage do not exactly need to be rational. Fight choreography is the strength of this film. The action feels clean, and well coordinated, which is where The Old Guard 2 becomes the most entertaining. The ending is such a major cliffhanger. It does not even feel like a proper conclusion, more like the movie suddenly stops.
