The Irishman 2019
It has the same vibes as Goodfellas, The Godfather, and The Departed with its mafia centered story and criminal world.
The de-aging tech is insane! Scorsese’s directing and the cinematography are still great as expected, but I just could not fully attach myself emotionally to the story. Maybe I am starting to experience gangster fatigue after watching so many films in this genre.
For me, the film feels less about crime itself and more about the life cycle of being a gangster. From the rise and formation of that lifestyle, to its slow degradation and emptiness as time passes.
