I spent the whole film wondering why it was called Remember Me. By the end, I really wished I never had to find out. A nice story about a neglected child with a major chip on his shoulder when it comes to his father, but who still has a lot of love inside his heart, especially for his sister. Then he meets a girl who also carries an equally traumatic past. Robert Pattinson still has that Edward Cullen vibe here since this was filmed during the same era as the Twilight series, but I can already see how great of an actor he is. ⚠️ Spoilers ahead. From here on, plot details are discussed. Read on if you’ve seen the film. If not, save this post and come back after. ⚠️ And then that ending happened. What the holy fuck? I really thought this was heading toward a healing ending because I got the feeling that he was finally mending his relationship with his father and beginning to accept that there could actually be a brighter future ahead of him. The ending just fucking devastated me. No matter how many times his father could bail him out before, this time he simply can’t. There is really nothing he can do. He just can’t save him. Watched on Netflix.
