Unstoppable 2010

I don’t think I have seen any film like this, with such a believable, imminent, monstrous train as if it is the main villain character of the story. Tony Scott grounded everything in reality. If there is any CGI, it is very invisible because I honestly cannot spot where the illusion breaks. Everything feels real. I don’t know how he pulled it off, but he did it really well. The editor also had a big role in keeping the tension going, stitching shot after shot together and not letting me breathe. Ben Seresin’s cinematography complements that urgency really well too, using different lenses, framing, and perspectives to capture both the characters’ emotions and the sheer danger surrounding them.
