Les Misérables 2012

Forgot how great the cinematography is here. There are a lot of strong visual moments, and the scale of the sets really adds to the grand feeling of the story. The performances are also great. My only complaint is the excessive use of handheld camera. Sometimes it adds intimacy, but there are moments where it becomes too dizzying for me. There are definitely outstanding moments throughout the film, but overall, it feels too long for a story that could have been told in a much shorter runtime.
