Ito ang pinakanaenjoy ko sa buong franchise. Super boring nung kay Chris Pratt, but this one ibang league. Finally, a Jurassic movie that knows how to balance scale, sound, and suspense. Si Gareth Edwards ang perfect guy to direct a film like this. His mastery of scale is unmatched. Ever since Monsters, Godzilla (2014), Rogue One, and The Creator, alam mo na agad na iba ang mata niya pagdating sa proportions. He knows how to make you feel small in a massive world. Here, makikita mo yung signature niya sa paggamit ng smoke, light beams, reflections, and water para ihighlight kung gaano kalaki at menacing yung mga mutated dinosaurs. This film feels like a mashup of Jaws × Anacondas × Journey to the Center of the Earth × Indiana Jones. It’s not horror, it’s adventure and a fun, high stakes one. The river chase scene? Parang commercial teaser for a Universal Studios ride. Grabe ang impact. The cinema was trembling every time the dinosaurs roared or stomped. Yung mga low frequency rumbles sa likod speakers give that feeling na parang humihinga sila sa batok mo. Nakakadagdag sa immersion lalo pag IMAX setup. Ganda ng combination ng practical sets (like the Mayan temple interior) and CGI environments. May mga shots na halatang ginawa sa Volume dahil sa pacircular lighting reflections, but overall it still blends well. CGI is solid, though some textures intentionally looked “retro” parang callback to the skin detail ng 1993 original. Classic moral conflict: greed driven expedition gone wrong. Simple but effective. Hindi mo kailangan ng convoluted plot; the pacing and sense of danger carry it. Parang heist adventure with prehistoric stakes. Thrilling, tactile, and technically beautiful. You can tell Gareth loves physical cinematography and doesn’t rely too much on CGI. River chase sequence: water splashes, camera mounted near surface, reflections of light hitting the water, and that one massive tail swipe that throws the boat sideways. One of the best practical CGI blends I’ve seen this year. Gareth Edwards proved again that he’s the master of scale. Every frame feels cinematic and alive.
