Superhero Smoke and Soft Damage
A Scarlett Johansson ranking from my watched films: superhero smoke, lonely voices, action poses, soft damage, and characters who can be funny, cold, wounded, or terrifyingly composed. Ranked by stars first, then by rewatch pull, emotional

From the very first scene, nabosesan ko na si Joaquin and I immediately got Black Mirror vibes.

The film carries Michael Bay’s signature DNA, that constant sense of imminent threat and high tension danger.

Quiet, awkward, and deeply human. Lost in Translation captures a very specific kind of loneliness, the kind that comes from being surrounded by people yet feeling unseen.

Nice job sila sa scale. Ang liit talaga ng characters compared sa rocket parts and machinery, and yun yung pinakanagstand out sakin.

I watched this mainly because of Benicio Del Toro, and right from the start, the film delivers with a strong score and immediate action.

The visual style reminds me of the opening of Toy Story 3 mixed with those old Instagram filters that turn lips orange, layered with Wes Anderson’s pastel palette.
