Well, with all due respect to Tom Hanks and Kevin Bacon, who both gave great performances, I didn’t feel the urgency that much as I expected to. The tension is better in Sully (2016), which I thought would have a somewhat similar treatment. And when it comes to astronaut films, I still prefer First Man (2018). Thematically, it hit me harder, and technically, it feels much more immersive. The sound, camera movement, vibrations, and claustrophobic interiors make spaceflight feel genuinely dangerous rather than just something I am watching from a distance.
