The color and lighting are very vivid and dreamlike. It almost feels like a Wes Anderson film at times. Parang fairy tale bedtime story yung dating. Soft, magical, and intentionally stylized. The landscape photography is beautiful. Solid yung mga mountain shots and the foggy aerials. The environment feels alive and carefully chosen, not just background filler. Ochi being a puppet, and most likely animatronic, really works for me. That tangibility makes it easier to connect emotionally. Hindi siya parang purely animated character. May bigat at presence siya, similar to how Yoda or Grogu works. You feel like the character exists in the space. I also noticed the use of miniatures in some shots, which I really appreciated. It’s a nice artistic touch and something you don’t see much anymore. It adds to that old school fantasy feel. Medyo kadiri yung scene na tumitibok yung namamagang sugat dahil sa kagat ni Ochi. Effective siya in a disturbing way, and it grounds the fantasy with something very physical and real. Overall, the film leans heavily into practical effects, stylized visuals, and fairy tale logic, and that combination gives it a unique charm.
