Funny and weird movie. It uses that strange metaphor of a mother slowly turning into something she is not. At first it feels absurd, but the idea sticks because it reflects how she is losing parts of herself in the process of motherhood. It even leans into body horror at times. The transformation is not just emotional, it becomes physical in a way that is uncomfortable. I also noticed how the lens choices shift depending on her state. When she becomes hysterical, the visuals start to distort with that circular bokeh. Then when she remembers the past, the image changes again with a softer, more focused zoom that feels nostalgic. Halfway through, the film becomes more reflective. It starts to dig deeper into identity, lost passion, and the reality of marriage. What begins as something weird and funny slowly turns into something more personal.
