This is the kind of documentary that teaches you skills that might actually come in handy in life, but should absolutely not be used unless you want to become a criminal. There are literally so many documentaries on Netflix with this kind of appeal: The Tinder Swindler (2022), How to Become a Tyrant (2021), Trump: An American Dream (2017). Even films like How to Make a Killing (2026), The Housemaid (2025), The Wolf of Wall Street (2013), Billionaire Boys Club (2018), and Pain Hustlers (2023), or series like Ozark (2017-2022) and Narcos (2015-2017). These kinds of stories inspire and excite my brain because I’m fascinated by how people pull these things off using their wits, charm, confidence, willpower, manipulation, and ability to read other people. There are actually useful skills buried underneath all the criminal shit. But then common sense kicks in. I can admire how clever the scheme is without forgetting that if I actually try doing these things in real life, eventually I am probably going to get caught.
