It started off like an Indian version of John Wick, with the underground world, brutal action, and revenge setup. But as it unfolded, it became more mythical and psychologically driven, using revenge as something tied to identity, trauma, and cultural symbolism
The cinematography and production are great. There is a lot of texture, atmosphere, color, and energy in the way the world is presented. But I just couldn’t bring myself to be fully immersed in a film this heavily rooted in Indian culture. I also think it would have worked better for me with a shorter runtime.
For me, it should have stayed more in the John Wick lane. That side of the film felt livelier, more exciting, and more dangerously energetic.
