Frozen Game of Thrones with a wicked stepmom energy.
I like their accents, but I don’t think they are maintained consistently throughout the film.
The overall aesthetic of the film, from the cinematography, sets, and color grading, gives me Game of Thrones vibes with its bleak, cold look, grimy night shots, and lush greens when they are in the forest.
I gotta say, I kinda like this bad mommy aura of Emily Blunt. She has that cold authority while still carrying this weird maternal energy underneath it.
Pretty much a serviceable movie, but nothing new in a sense. That is probably my biggest issue with it. There is a lot of craft on screen, but story wise, I feel like I have already seen variations of this fantasy adventure before.
