Feels like Heat with its heist and danger vibes but seen through the lens of Michael Bay. The scale and chaos are bigger, more explosive, but the core tension of a crime gone wrong is still there. The money shot for me was the chase with the ambulance and the helicopter in the same frame. Super cool. That kind of shot really shows how Bay maximizes movement and scale at the same time. The acting is also strong. Jake Gyllenhaal, Yahya Abdul Mateen II, and Eiza González all deliver. I cannot say much more than that because their eyes alone already show what is going on in their minds. The fear, panic, and desperation are all there. The lighting also stands out, especially how it highlights their eyes during intense moments. It adds to the emotional tension even in the middle of chaos. Well, Michael Bay did it again. Nail biting heist and crime thriller.
