The Island 2005
Non spoiler thoughts (summary):
The film carries Michael Bay’s signature DNA, that constant sense of imminent threat and high tension danger. There is a strong cat and mouse energy throughout. The car chases especially feel very Transformers like, chaotic, destructive, and filled with crashing vehicles everywhere. What I like is that the CGI blends well with practical effects, so the action still feels grounded despite the scale.

The film also raises an interesting question, do clone lives matter? That idea gives a deeper layer beneath all the action. The final liberation shot is genuinely triumphant. After all the chaos, it gives that satisfying sense of freedom and release.
