The Fantastic 4: First Steps 2025

Yow what did I just watch? Grabe yung kaba ko. Sobrang bilis ng tibok ng puso ko. Twice ko lang ito naramdaman after Phase 3, during Loki season finale and this! Best movie after Endgame for real! Simple lang yung plot. There's no mindblowing plot twist. Glad many of the YT channel's theories and "plot leaks" did not come true, pag nagkatotoo kasi yung mga yun parang magiging too complicated. I think that is what makes this a very good movie. It is grounded on its own, separate from any other universe. Warm family movie without needing ng mga pilit na jokes. Visuals is good, believable na retro future. Iba talaga dating pag practical sets unlike naka Volume or chroma. PRODUCTION DESIGNERS ROCK! Tho I am glad they did not focus too much on world building. Mas character driven talaga si Matt Shakman. Gotta love this director. Wandavision and Fantastic Four? Nailed it. (Side note: Matt also directed one of the best episodes in Game of Thrones) Pedro and Vanessa is believable as a parent. Ramdam mo yung conviction that no one will get left behind. Sue is strong AF. MCU's Johnny is better. Hindi masyadong douchebag. Good thing nahighlight ang pagiging genius nya dito. Not just a side character. Love Joseph Quinn since Stranger Things. Quite doubtful before if he can pull off Johnny Storm, but yeah glad he proved me wrong. Ben is tito vibes. Everyone needs a caring Ben Grimm. Great pilot and driver as well. Good thing he's way past the self pity era as we jump into this movie. Julia Garner is fire! Me and my wife actually binged watch Ozark because of her as Ruth. Hope we can see more of her! Tama yung description ng critics. Feels like Interstellar and The Incredibles. Worth it ang hirap papuntang Director's Club. Maraming salamat sa mga guards na tumulong. Saka na sa IMAX pag kaya na magstairs. Taas kasi ng eye level sa IMAX. But definitely a rewatchable film for me. Totoo ang hype. 🙂
