Sacrifice 2025
Undeniably great cinematography. Same level as The Northman mixed with Dune: Part One and Part Two. The landscapes, sets, and locations have this enormous, almost mythic quality where even simple compositions look meticulously crafted.
The score is enigmatic. It has this strange, mysterious quality that somehow always feels appropriate for whatever is happening on screen, even when I have absolutely no idea where the movie itself is taking me.
Chris is narcissistic, kind of like in Knives Out, but he demonstrates great character development here.
I was confused the entire time. This was basically my thought process throughout the movie: Is this satire? Tragedy? Absurdity? Reality? It feels like it has the DNA of Yorgos Lanthimos.
And that ending? Definitely Bugonia vibes!
