Money Monster (2016) review

A riveting crime thriller that gradually became an Kyle's intriguing finance drama as the story unfolded. What begins as a hostage situation slowly opens up into something much bigger about money. The reveal was actually surprising. I was quite annoyed at first by what I assumed was Kyle's Irish accent. He sounded like a crybaby, and his voice kept cracking too. But later on, it became clear that this was really part of who the character was, so it started to make more sense. He is not supposed to feel like some intimidating, calculated criminal. He is scared, emotional, desperate, and way out of his depth. I also didn’t know Jodie Foster directs. Pretty good!
