F1 2025

I am not a car guy nor a fan of racing so I thought di ko to maeenjoy, but I did! Very much. Story wise, nandun yung emotion. Simple success/redemption arc movie. Maganda ang character arc nila and lahat may magandang purpose why they are doing what they are doing. There's real risk at stake. I think I have a new favorite director. Joseph Kosinski. This guy made me crazy after watching Tron: Legacy, Only The Brave, Top Gun: Maverick, and now F1. The only movie na di ko nagustuhan from him was Oblivion. Great director! Kaya nandun yung DNA ng Maverick. Actually para kang nanonood ng Maverick but in a race track. Looking back at Only The Brave and Maverick, oo nga medyo kuha ko na yung cinematography style nya. Great choice of lenses and I also love yung color grading nya. Yung parang madilaw and brownish na style na very prominent sa Dune: Part Two ni Denis Villeneuve. Cinematography is great. Nagrorotate yung IMAX cam pahorizontal na parang insta360. I don't think IMAX cameras are capable of doing that. Either they stitched two shots or CGI. Dunno, need to research about how they filmed this. Yun yung indication na magandang ang film, kapag after kailangan mo mag dig deep into research mode. Surprised that the whole film was shot in IMAX (or baka sobrang immersed ko lang?) Even in closed quarters kasi eh. Alam ko mapakahirap irig yun due to the limited space. Marami pang part ng cars na kinabitan ng camera so iba't ibang perspective ng race ang mawiwitness mo hindi lang yung driver's perspective. But the last shot before they win the race, grabe! Walang sound except sa hininga ni Brad Pitt and kabog ng puso ko 🤣 My only con for this: Di ko masyado nafeel si Hanz Zimmer dito tho. Also for the sound design I kinda miss yung feeling na nagvvibrate yung seats sa high volume sequences katulad ng Oppenheimer ni Christopher Nolan. Matry nga panoorin sa 4DX 🥰 High praise!
