5 Centimeters per Second 2025
It feels like Kimi no Na Wa mixed with Past Lives. That same sense of longing, distance, and timing that never quite aligns.
It is beautifully shot. The visuals are stunning and carry a lot of emotion on their own. But the pacing is sluggish for me. I kept looking at my watch. The male character also spends a lot of time just staring from a distance, which adds to that slow, dragging feeling.
Fate keeps getting in the way of them reuniting. Parang Voyager 1 and 2, just floating somewhere and slowly drifting further apart. It is a story full of missed opportunities, almosts, and close calls.
