Resident Evil 2026

It really feels like I am actually playing a video game. You have to figure things out, like how to obtain ammunition, how to open locked gates, choose where to go next, and complete specific objectives before moving forward. There are actual goals to finish and paths to follow. Some shots even feel like when the cutscenes are done and the control is suddenly being handed back to me. I feel like I am the one controlling the main character because I am not a pro gamer with strategic instincts. I’d be clumsy, scared, stupid, and likely to hesitate before doing things. How the director managed to make this hilariously funny while also making me hold my breath for most of the runtime is a mystery. This film is so immersive!
