Whiskey Tango Foxtrot (2016) review

There are a lot of themes surrounding this film, but what stands out to me the most is being passionate about doing your job with utmost professionalism. And because of that passion, sometimes we get confused into thinking that what we are doing is automatically what people want. But in reality, not everyone cares. That idea really solidified for me in the scene where her boss rejects her request for more airtime. And because of that same passion, we also tend to make our work part of our identity. The adrenaline, and the feeling of being needed. Eventually, the work that once gave your life meaning can start consuming everything else around it.
