The musical score immediately sets the tone. It feels like puzzle solving music, parang thriller na pinapagana yung utak mo. At the same time, may moments din na may intimate, relationship driven atmosphere sa score, similar to Heat kapag naguusap si Neil at Eady. That balance between cold investigation and quiet human connection is nicely done. May romance element din ang film, parang Heat ulit. It adds a layer of vulnerability sa story, showing that even people dealing with monsters still crave connection and normalcy. Hindi siya overly romanticized, just enough to humanize the characters. Francis is framed really well throughout the film. He’s a tall guy, and most of the time he’s blocked or framed in a way that makes him look powerful and dominant. The visual language reinforces how dangerous he is even when he’s silent. The sunset shot with Francis and Joan is especially striking, feels like a calm before the storm. The third act gunfight is classic Michael Mann. Clean, sharp, no wasted movement. Medyo bitin lang for me, I wouldn’t have minded if it went on longer, but it still delivers. It feels grounded, controlled, and brutal.
