Beware Boiúna (2026) review

Typical horror cinematography. Dark lighting, false jump scares, long stretches of dread, radio crackling through the silence, dragging feet, and shaky cam. It is really hard to follow what is happening. I can’t see shit. This works more as body horror than creature horror for me. Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid (2004) still reigns when it comes to snake movies because that one sells the jungle adventure and creature threat better. Good CGI. The scale and texture of Bouina are good. Watched at SM Cinema Trece Martires.
