The Wall (2017) review

The silence builds the tension and sustains it. What really doomed them was their impatience and hubris. Maganda yung decoding niya ng location ng shooter. It gave me Shallows vibes, trapped in one place and the only way to survive is to rely on the main character’s wits. Ang galing kung paano niya nahulaan kung nasaan, using the environment’s sound as a clue. Matalino din yung camper na kalaban. He studies his enemies, so when he uses the radio, mas alam niya kung ano ang sasabihin too fool the receiver on the other end. Ganda ng character development ni Ize. He did not just face his greatest adversary, he also faced his inner demons. Just when I thought it was all said and done, then boom. Ganda ng twist. Kind of film where the villain wins.
